Welcome back
Here is my Cornish Adventure and blog
We headed to Rick Steins
Beer and Mussel festival
See more here

It was wonderful to meet Rick and I would like to thank him and Vivienne for their time.
Also for the signing of my book Rick was wonderfully gentle it was quite surreal meeting someone I have seen on the tv in real life.

Also it was humbling to me Rick has travelled the world with food.
He is personal chef hero to me the man you see on the screen at me is the man I met.

Then we headed to the cottage in Trevone.

That's Shadow my dog in our walled garden.

We knew very little of the village we planned to stay in
Happily Rick Stein and Trevone's farm and shop was just across the road from us too.
See more here about Rick Steins places to stay in Trevone.
We had a huge kitchen with a working fireplace
perfectly placed dining table and every thing a chef like would need to make the perfect meal
and the warmest of stays in this lovely cottage.

The shop has more than basics to offer lots great
Cornish treats including handmade beers
soft drinks and foods.

Getting into Padstow at 11am meant we had a full day on our first day.

Seeing the sunset whilst in bed.
The cottage had a lot of room for Shadow to lay around and relax too.

He loved the walk on the beach
that was a five minute walk from the cottage.

The true cottage vibe
deep set windows with a beautiful feel.
If I can't have flowers at home of course Ade bought me some here instead.

We headed to Padstow on the Sunday
We really wanted to find a true Cornish Sunday Lunch.
Before lunch we had a cuppa at Pescadou

Knowing Padstow we pre-booked a table at
the prestigious
Basement of Padstow
See more here
This is my starter
Duck liver pate and brioche with a fig chutney.

This how I made pate back in London
I have not seen not tasted pate like this for years.

Hands down the most light flavourful well seasoned pate I have eaten for a very long time.
The main of West country Beef
with a selection a vegetables as well as the veggies on the plate crisp roast potato.

I happily can say that the beef was cooked to perfection the fat was melt in the mouth and nothing could be put at fault.

Vanilla panna cotta
with rhubarb it tasted as good as it looks.
Then we had dinner at the cottage too

With a sour dough loaf from
St Ives Bakery
If you would like to see more

The Bakery is set on the corner of
Fore Street opposite Cath Kidston
St Ives Bakery is beautifully designed and has a great vibe and window display.
Their Chocolate pavlova
with Rodda's clotted cream
and macerated strawberries
See how to make the strawberries below

This place
Where would I start
The Digey food room
It sits very close to St Ives Bakery just around the corner actually I'd tell you to go there when you are hungry and need a real cup of coffee.
Take lots of cash and stock up on fine eats.
No regrets this place s not only coffee chic it's what you'd see in Venice.

Then we went to
Mousehole
It was great to be back where I used to run around as a kid.
This place is what dreams are made of!

Hole foods is set right on the front with
great deli produce and
lots of recognisable brands
that are high end and the best of the best.

Then on for ice-cream

2 Fore street Mousehole
A chic and stylish French bistro-style restaurant on Mousehole harbour front with views across the Mount's Bay to the Lizard

Then
Dollys tea room and wine bar

Dolly's has a huge centre piece table
and lots of pretties all over the room

Then to the Eden project
See more here
Here is a selection of photos of the day the days events

Of course there is food.
The eden project has open kitchens
hosting a spaciously modern open space where there are share tables.
A great concept that gets people mixing and sharing.
The plate consists of  steak and ale pie
with crushed new potato & wholegrain mustard.
Then a side of roasted roots veg.

Then to the core
I did not get to visit last year the weather was so much better this year.
See more here

We went to
The Park at Mawgan Porth
We stayed here last year and was staying close by
I really wanted to come back and enjoy being there again.
They have a great restaurant indoor swimming pool spa that you can use even if you are not staying there.

Strong Adolfo's
I have been wanting to come here for a year
Strong Adolfo's is a very appealing eat.
I was happy to be there
also very amused to see people shocked by the way it looks.
Almost not believing what they was seeing
We ate drank and left happy!
Till next year I wish them all the success in the world.
